Friday the 13th - 12: Positively Do Not Open

POSITIVELY DO NOT OPEN is the twelfth in a collection of exclusive fragrances blended in commemoration of Friday the 13th. Released for a single day, fragrances in the Friday the 13th collection pay tribute to superstitions, omens, phobias, customs and lore surrounding this, the unluckiest of holidays. 

This addition to the collection is loosely based on the ("real") Annabelle legend, but who doesn't love a good haunted doll story regardless of origin? 

As the story goes, a young woman received a Raggedy Ann doll as a gift from her mother in 1970. It wasn't long before the doll began moving around the house, writing cryptic notes and leaving them conspicuously around the apartment, causing residents and guests to experience horrific visions and hallucinations, and partaking in various other haunted doll pastimes. Eventually, the young woman called a psychic who found nothing suspect about the doll's nefarious activities and instead claimed that the doll was haunted by the spirit of an innocent youngster named (dun dun dun) Annabelle. 

I don't want to spoil anything for you, but it turned out that the psychic's assessment was wildly off the mark and the doll was, as it turned out, demonically possessed. Easy mistake, I suppose. 

Eventually, the doll changed hands and now resides at Ed and Lorraine Warren's Occult Museum, where she stays in a locked case.
