Panteón Viejo de Xoxocotlán - September 2023 LEGACY
Originally part of the MEMENTO MORI (Fall 2020) Collection, inspired by iconic cemeteries 'round the world.
Located a short distance from Oaxaca in the south of Mexico, Santa Cruz Xoxocotlán is home to one of the largest celebrations of Día de Muertos in Mexico. Prior to Spanish colonization this celebration traditionally took place in early Summer, but is today celebrated between October 31 and November 2. During the three-day celebration, families traditionally will clean and decorate graves of departed loved ones; private altars (sometimes quite elaborate ones) are built to include the favorite foods and beverages of the departed, along with photos, memorabilia, candles, incense, and artwork. Ofrendas - including candy, food, flowers, notes, and blankets - are typically left outside homes as a welcoming gesture for the visiting deceased.

* For Parfums shipping outside the U.S., Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) may be substituted for some or all of the Perfumer's Alcohol. This allows fragrances to be safely and legally shipped overseas without the huge price increase of surface mail. This does not affect the use of the product, although it may appear very slightly thicker than perfumer's alcohol (it is still sprayable, and can be used in the same way as a regular Parfum).
