You’re wearing a mask that fogs up every time you exhale, but you won’t take it off because the costume parade starts in 5 minutes. They don’t do Halloween class parties like they used to; let’s party like it’s 1995.
Homemade cupcakes with neon orange frosting and plastic spider rings, sticky cereal treats wrapped in wax paper, bright green punch in wax-lined cups, crushed leaves tracked onto cold linoleum, library carts decorated with crepe paper ghosts and black balloons, a dog-eared Goosebumps book at the bottom of your backpack

Tuesday, October 31, 1995. 6:48 pm. Your best friend’s front porch, last hints of sunlight over the roof lines. Plastic treat pail: Check. The battery powered lantern that your mom made you bring: Check. Mental map of houses that give the good candy, and a vinyl costume that creaks with every step: Check and Check. It’s go time.
Streets lined with glowing pumpkins, bright yellow leaves and chilly late fall air, porches decorated with bagged cobwebs & potted mums, lo-fi spooky sound effects echoing down the block, plastic vampire fangs, a hint of frost on the ground, dry corn maze and straw bales, a crackle of woodsmoke from the creepy house at the end of the block

This sale is also a great time to shop for holiday gifts early, as we are often unable to guarantee holiday delivery for orders placed later in November/December due to postal delays and potentially longer processing times due to holiday order volume.
