Originally released in June 2025 as part of our very limited Friday The 13th collection, I've reissued this fragrance for the month of August. Proceeds from the sale of this product (and a portion of all other product sales this month) will be donated to NO BIG BEND WALL and additional organizations supporting conservation efforts for the Big Bend region.

On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, contractors set up near the entrance to Cottonwood Campground in Big Bend National Park as part of planning efforts connected to a $1.7 billion "Smart Wall" project. The plan calls for vehicle barriers, over 200 miles of patrol roads, detection technology, lighting, and surveillance cameras across the region, impacting Big Bend National Park, Big Bend Ranch State Park, and hundreds of additional acres of diverse ecosystems on public and private lands. Industrialization of this wild landscape will disrupt native wildlife by cutting off valuable water sources and restricting migration; endanger thousands of years of rich cultural and archeological history; and threaten the region's treasured dark skies.

One Park = All Parks

Phantom Light is a tribute to the strange, quiet beauty of Marfa, Texas. First documented in 1883, unexplained lights have shimmered in the night sky just outside of town: orbs of red, amber, blue, and white dance over the vast Chihuahuan desert. No one knows what they are — spirits, aliens, static electricity, or heat-induced hallucinations — but those who see them never forget.

Their fragrance is a tribute to Marfa’s enduring mystery, where art, isolation, and the supernatural converge. It begins with a breath of cool ozone and a dry sparkle of pink pepper, like the first glint of light against a darkening horizon. Agave nectar, cholla cactus, and desert willow accords weave through the heart, nodding to desert flora and the rugged beauty of the Chihuahuan desert. A soft veil of orris root recalls the faded glamour of desert eccentrics and ethereal wanderers. The drydown rests on mineral amber, native Mesquite wood, and a sunbaked cloth accord reminiscent of dusty denim and faded linen.

Minimalist and mysterious, Phantom Light belongs to the liminal: between day and night, art and myth, this world and the next.

☾ Notes: ☽

The cool stillness of dusk settling over the Texas high desert: a wisp of static ozone, native desert flora, ghostly orris, a crack of pink peppercorn, threadbare denim, sunbaked dry woods, faded linen

☾ Fragrance Family: ☽ A rugged, dry atmospheric with warm woody and herbaceous sheer floral facets. Like a desert night sky it's haunting, minimal, and beautifully wild.

Similar In Mood To: Bears some resemblance to other minimalistic/ozonic fragrances like The Book Of Stars, Groom Lake, or This House Is Clean, but more earthy with a warmer/woodier finish. We don't actually have many that smell like this one!
