El Cucuy - Friday the 13th Exclusive

Friday the 13th collection orders will begin shipping during the week of May 23. We do not keep this collection “in stock”; instead, they are batched and bottled to order once the event concludes. This means they require a bit of additional lead time prior to shipping.

Duérmete niño, duérmete ya...
Que viene el Cucuy y te comerá.

Almost every culture has a version of the bogeyman; the closet monster; the terrifying creature that comes in the night to steal naughty children. El Cucuy (or el Coco) is sometimes tall and furry, sometimes a small bat-like humanoid or a ghostly being trapped between worlds. Regardless of his visage, the legends agree that he lives under your bed (or in your closet) waiting to snatch you if you misbehave, and parents throughout Latin America use the threat of el Cucuy to keep their sons and daughters in line.

His scent is deceptively sweet - a warm summer night spent getting into just enough mischief to avoid el Cucuy (or so we hope…)

☾ Notes: ☽
Golden mango, orange flower, ripe maracuyá, dried chili, cashmeran, hazy sandalwood incense, agave flower, nopales, warm night air, a quick glint of sharp teeth from the shadows

☾ Fragrance Family: ☽
A darker & more eerie take on the traditional warm weather fruit/floral. Syrupy stone fruits are paired with a hint of smoldering woods and resins for a fragrance that is reminiscent of hot summer nights spent telling ghost stories.

Similar In Mood To: Gothic Lolita, Only Children Weep, Habanera, You Who Swallowed a Falling Star

* For Parfums shipping outside the U.S., Isopropyl Myristate (IPM) may be substituted for some or all of the Perfumer's Alcohol. This allows fragrances to be safely and legally shipped overseas without the huge price increase of surface mail. This does not affect the use of the product, although it may appear very slightly thicker than perfumer's alcohol (it is still sprayable, and can be used in the same way as a regular Parfum).
